I’m Elon Green, author of Last Call, the basis for an HBO documentary series and, perhaps, another project. I’ve written for the New York Times Magazine, The Awl, and New York, and have no beat, beyond by own interests. So I’ve chronicled the life of Peter Beard, the history of queer adoption, a play by Toni Morrison; interviewed Yaphet Kotto, Rita Moreno, Paul Simon and some of our greatest journalists; and more or less unearthed the unsolved Doodler Murders. (I also occasionally write book reviews.)

I’ve been lucky to be anthologized in a number of places, including Sarah Weinman’s Unspeakable Acts, Stories Can Save Us by Matt Tullis, and Carrie Frye’s The Awl: The Book.
